In knitwear, size is the primary reason for returns. For this reason, on every product page, in the Sizes and fit section, you will find a technical drawing of that garment with the actual measurements for each size. These measurements vary from model to model: a size L cardigan does not measure the same as a size L polo shirt, so a single table for the entire catalog would not be reliable.
The four measurements we use
All measurements are taken with the garment laid flat, in centimeters.
Shoulder to shoulder. From one shoulder seam to the other, on the front of the garment.
Chest to chest. Width of the garment at the armpit, from one edge to the other. This is half of the total circumference.
Sleeve length. From the shoulder seam to the edge of the cuff.
Total length. From the highest point of the shoulder to the bottom hem.
How to find your size
The most reliable method is not to measure your body, but to measure a garment you already own.
Take the knit piece that fits you the way you like. Lay it flat, without stretching it. Measure the same four points listed above. Compare the numbers with the drawing of the garment you are looking at: the right size is the one with values closest to yours.
Tolerance margin
Measurements are indicative, not millimetric: in knitwear, there is a margin of about 1 cm in both length and width, as knitted yarn settles. If you are between two sizes, choose the more comfortable one.
Available sizes
Sizes range from S to 3XL, but not all garments are available in all sizes: the actual sizes for a model are those you see in the menu on the product page.
If you still have a doubt
