We do not buy finished garments to resell them. We produce them ourselves, in Italy, and this page tells you how.
1. The yarn
Everything starts with the thread. We choose cotton and wool yarns, pure or blended depending on the model: this changes the garment's weight, warmth, elasticity, and how the knit behaves after the first wash. The exact composition of each item is written on its product page, garment by garment. We do not use generic terms like "wool blend" without saying what the rest is made of.
2. The knitting process
The yarn is processed on knitting machines according to the technique chosen for that specific model. The weaves we use most often are links, honeycomb, jacquard, herringbone, and double English rib: these are not decorations applied afterwards, they are different ways of constructing the stitch, and they change the thickness and durability of the fabric.
The gauge indicates how many needles are working in one inch of the machine: the lower the number, the coarser the knit. You can find it indicated in the technical sheet of each garment, along with the weight.
3. Assembly
The pieces of the garment come off the machine, not the garment itself. Assembly joins the front, back, and sleeves, and defines how it will drape over the shoulder. It is the step that determines whether a garment fits well or not, and it is done by hand, piece by piece.
4. Finishing touches
Collars, cuffs, hems, buttons, small pockets, mandarin collars, and sartorial double-breasted styles: the finishing touches pass from hand to hand. They are the slowest part of the work and the one that is most noticeable when missing.
5. Inspection
Every garment is checked before being folded and set aside. Small differences in measurement, within about a centimeter, are normal in knitwear: knitted yarn settles. What is not normal — a dropped stitch, a crooked seam, an off-center button — does not leave the workshop.
6. From the workshop to you
We sell directly, without distributors or intermediary stores. That is why a garment produced in Italy, with a declared composition, costs what it costs and not twice as much.

Pasquale Divittorio opened his first business in 1994, in Bisceglie. Since then, the knitwear has been produced using the same techniques and with the same care in assembly and finishing. The brand combines his name with that of his dog, Jimmy.
